That is not a marketing line, it is a federal designation, and it means the predicted average indoor radon screening level across the county is above the EPA's 4.0 pCi/L action level. Pennsylvania's own Department of Environmental Protection describes the state as having one of the most serious radon problems in the country.
So the question for most York County homeowners is not whether radon is worth thinking about. It is what to do once a test comes back high, and who to trust with the work. That is a harder question than it looks. Mitigation is not one standard job. A house over clean gravel may need a single suction point. Radon is a real risk and it is also a fixable one. We are not going to frighten you into a decision, and we are not going to tell you a reading is fine when it is not. Those are both the certified professional's call, not ours.
